Christine Marilyn (Benninger) Brekelmans

BREKELMANS, Christine Marilyn -, Passed away suddenly at London Health Sciences Centre (Victoria Campus) on Saturday June 23rd, 2018. Christine M. Brekelmans (nee Benninger) of RR#1 Lakeside in her 60th year. Beloved wife of Francis N. Brekelmans. Cherished daughter of Carl (Jean) Benninger and the late Joy Benninger. Loved sister of Jennifer (Bryan) Smith and their children Alexandra and Eric. Dear step-sister of Lisa, Scott and Dan Olesen and sister-in-law of Henny (Bob) Poirier and their daughters Michelle, Nicole (Ryan), Yvonne, and Danielle (Annie); Harry (Xiaobing) Brekelmans, Joanne Brekelmans, Peter (Shirley) Brekelmans and their daughters, Elaine (Stephen) and Denise. Also fondly remembered by her grand nieces and nephews and close circle of friends. Christine worked as a medical lab technologist with the Red Cross/Canadian Blood Services from graduation until her retirement five years ago. After retirement, she enjoyed volunteering as a fitness instructor at the Friendship Centre in St. Marys. She had a passion for gardening with Francis on their farm, and enjoyed her hobby of scrapbooking. Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 177 Dundas St. Thamesford on Tuesday June 26th 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Immaculate Catholic Parish, 1980 Trafalgar St., London on Wednesday June 27th, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Ingersoll. If desired contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or Mary Immaculate Catholic Parish would be appreciated. Parish prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm.
