ARMSTRONG, Charles “Mark” - 65, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital, surrounded by his beloved family on March 12, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by cherished wife Karen (Chambers) of 45 years of marriage, daughter Kristen (John) and proud Papa to their 4 children, Sarah, Abigail, Jacob and Norah, son Nathan (Katie), sisters Judy (Jim), Joanne (Stan) and Helen (late Lloyd), sister-in-law Linda (late Bob) and many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his best “fur-iends” Charlie, Chloe, and Molly. Predeceased by his son Ryan (2007), parents Harold and Dorothy (2017), mother-in-law Lucille (2014), and father-in-law Gerald (1990). Mark was known for his infectious smile and laugh. He did not shy away from conversation with anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him whether on morning walks or out in the community. Although famous for his backyard BBQs and morning brunch shared by family and friends, at home or at church, Mark’s true passion was for motorcycle riding and vintage cars. His steadfast faith provided him the strength to persevere through a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. During this time, his smile and hope never faded. We are incredibly proud of his determination and strength and have peace that he is at rest. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Brock and Visser funeral home (845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock) for a time of visitation from 10-12 pm on Wednesday March 16, 2022, with a service to follow in the Brock and Visser chapel. Reception to follow. To honor Mark’s passion for animals, please consider donations to the Oxford SPCA in lieu of flowers. And in honoring his faith, please consider contributions to Faithway Baptist Church. Donations may be arranged through the Brock and Visser funeral home ( 519-539-0004 ).
