Charles Ross Riach

RIACH- Peacefully at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday March 19, 2006. Charles R. Riach of R.R.# 8 Woodstock in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Ruby E. Riach (nee Irwin). Cherished father of Marianne Ferris of Woodstock, Doug (Cecilia) of Toronto, Richard (Laurie) of Sudbury, Graham and Chris (Kyla) of Woodstock. He was a very proud grandpa of Stefanie, Sara and Natasha Riach, Brett Ferris, Kathryn, John, Jacob and Joshua Riach. Fondly remembered by son-in-law Terry Ferris. Dear brother-in-law of Russell Oliver and Jean Riach. Charles was predeceased by his parents John (Jack) and Marion Riach and his siblings Vida Pooley, Jim Riach, Margaret Thornton, Jean Oliver and Eleanor Riach. Charles lived and worked his entire life on the family farm, Riacrest Farms, just north of Oxford Centre. He was a lifelong member of Oxford Centre United Church, was Past Master of Blenheim Lodge # 108 A.F. & A.M. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (539-0004) Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30 & 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service celebrating Charles life will be held in the chapel Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Heather Weaver-Orosz officiating. Interment later in Oxford Centre Pioneer Cemetery. If desired contributions to the Oxford Centre United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
