REDMAN, Charles E. "Chuck"- It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Charles Ernest Redman "Chuck" at his home surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, July 28th, 2018, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Patsy (nee Chambers) for 62 wonderful years. Loving father of Ann (Dwayne) Stevens, John (Robin) Redman, and Sandy Redman Hargest. Cherished grandpa of Dawn (Dave) Hanna, Andrea (Tyler) McKay, Dana (Chad) Bertelsen, Lindsay Redman, Johnathan Redman, and Evan Hargest. Proud great grandad of Delanie, Blake, Charlie, Kamdyn, Kasey, Jayce, and Ryder. Dear brother to Beverly Bevins, of Novi Michigan, Jim Redman, of Grand Bend, and brother-in-law to Dianne Redman, of Arkona. Predeceased by his parents Charlie and Flo Redman, his sisters Donna and Carolyn, and his brother Bruce. Chuck will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and extended family. Chuck worked at and owned a few gas stations, including "Chucks Sunoco," and in 1963 he took at job at General Motors Diesel where he worked for the next 32 years, retiring at the age of 55. He spent the next 25 years of retirement with his lovely wife, mainly between Grand Bend and Florida, ending back in the community where they raised their children, Thorndale. His greatest achievement was his family and he leaves them with many loving and fond memories. Chuck was a cub leader, optimist member, ball coach, he was active in his community, and was later a proud member of the Masonic brotherhood, past Master, and Shriner. He had a passion for laughter, music, playing guitar, friendship, cars, boats, travelling, and golf. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Purple Hill Country Hall, 20903 Purple Hill Rd., Thorndale, on Monday, August 6th, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm for a Celebration of Chuck's Life. A Masonic Lodge Service will take place prior to the celebration at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. George's Anglican Church in Thorndale, or Mt. Olivet lodge A.F.& A.M. #300, and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas St., Thamesford, (519-285-2427).
