Charles William Gibbons

GIBBONS - At People Care Nursing Home, Tavistock on Thursday January 29, 2004. Charles W. Gibbons formerly of James St. Woodstock in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Mary "Mae" V. Gibbons (nee Quinn). Dear father of William and his wife Bonnie of Innerkip. Loved grandfather of Charles and Tracy and great grandfather of Emily. Dear brother of Mary Jenne of Burford. Predeceased by his brothers Elmer, Harry, Walter, Hubert, Richard and Frank and sisters Edna, Myra, Edith, Beatrice and Emily. Charles served in WWII with the Royal Canadian Engineers 5th Canadian Division 1st Squadron and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55, Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock (539-0004) on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 pm. Interment later in the Innerkip Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. A Royal Canadian Legion Service will be held Sunday at 6:30pm in the funeral home.
