DEAN - At Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock on Thursday March 22, 2007. Charles R. Dean of Woodstock in 87th year. Beloved husband of Minnie Jean Dean (nee Geddes) for 60 years. Dear father of Dan and his wife Christine of Elliot Lake, Linda Dean (John Duffy) of Barrie and Stewart and his wife Gail of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Lori, Leanne (Casey), Danny, Andrew, Christopher, Patrick, Richard, Jennifer, Allan and great grandfather of Donovan. Dear brother of Basil (Edna) and John of Woodstock, Norman of St. Catharines, Robert (Hazel) of Moncton, NB, Catherine of Nova Scotia and Shirley of New Brunswick. Predeceased by four brothers Ernest, Carl, Tom and Laurie. Charles was a veteran of WW II, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 55, Woodstock, a member the Oxford County Naval Veterans Assoc. He worked at Bickle/King Seagrave for over 37 years, was a volunteer in the community for over 20 years, he enjoyed many years of curling, lawn bowling and loved to dance, laugh and loved his old time music. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday March 23, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 3:30 pm with Rev. Glenn Kukkola officiating. Interment later in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Contributions to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
