WILLIAMSON, Cecil Donald 

On Monday, January 27, 2025, at the age of 88, Cecil passed away peacefully after a brief illness at VON Sakura House Hospice. 

Much loved father of Denise (Mark) Gowdey of Woodstock ON, Darryl Williamson of London ON, and Shawn Williamson of Kitchener ON. Proud grandfather of Justin Hill (Nicole Mitchell) of Woodstock ON, and Brian Hill (Joline Stonell) of Victoria BC. Cherished great-grandfather of Austin and Alicia Hill of Cobble Hill BC. Dear brother of Dyce (Edna) Williamson of Princeton ON. Cecil is also survived by nephew Michael, niece Cretia and many cousins. Predeceased by parents Wilfrid and Anna Williamson and brother Clayton of Princeton ON. 

Cecil spent most of his career as a truck driver and after retirement, he still loved to drive. He often drove friends and those in need to the airport, medical appointments or just out for a scenic drive. 

Cecil was a proud member of the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association. At different times he participated in the Colour Guard Party and served on the Executive. Most of all, Cecil enjoyed the fellowship and friendship of the many members of the club. 

A Celebration of Life to honour Cecil will be held on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025 between 1pm – 4pm at the Oxford County Veterans Association, 959 James St. Woodstock ON.
