Catherine Jean "Kate" (Wing) Solly

SOLLY, Catherine - Passed away suddenly in her husband's arms at Caressant Care Retirement Home on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Catherine "Kate" J. Solly (nee Wing) was in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Clifford J. Solly. Dear mother of John (Alison), Brian (Diane), and Ken (Margaret). Cherished grandmother of Amanda, Jack, Robert, Audrey, Meredith, Charlotte, Scott, Sean, and Dana. Also survived by her loving brother Norman (Anne) Wing, their son David (Shawna), and sister-in-law Margaret (Jim) Splawski. She will be missed by her furry friend, Lucy. Kate was predeceased by her parents Jack and Grace Wing (1979) as well as her parents-in-law Fred and Connie Solly (2009). She has graciously gifted her eyes to the Trillium Gift of Life. Before her retirement, Catherine enjoyed her work at the University Hospital in the radiology department where she worked for ten years. Cremation has taken place. A complete memorial service will be at the Brock & Visser Funeral Home on Saturday November 24, 2012 at 11:00 am with Tonia Catcher officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery.
