ANDREW, Catherine A. - Our dearest wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed peacefully at Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll, on Saturday February 9th, 2013. Catherine Alberta Andrew (nee McFarland) of Burgessville and Woodstock in her 87th year. Beloved wife of W. Hugh Andrew for over 67 years. Dear mother of Bill and his wife Kathy and their children Carolyn (Scott), David (Sarah), Ben and Jenny; Jim and his wife Chris and their children Ron and Sherry (Jason); Donna Moore and her husband Bob and their children Wes and Patricia (Mike); Louise Andrew and her children Monica (Shawn), Daniel and Andrew. Much loved great grandmother of six. She is also survived by her sisters Helen Storey of Burgessville, and Winnie (Bud) Bannerman of Alberta. Predeceased by her parents Robert Cecil and Margaret Alberta McFarland, brothers Edwin, Cecil, Douglas, Wesley and brother-in-law Richard Storey. Born and raised on a farm, she married Hugh on April 28th 1945, where they continued to farm together. Over the years she enjoyed bowling, lawn bowling, carpet bowling, modern square dancing and most of all the Saturday night dances at Lakeside. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking the most delicious desserts for family and friends. Friends will be received at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Wednesday February 13th 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday February 14th 2013 at 10:30 am. Spring interment at Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. If desired, contributions to St. John's Anglican Church Eastwood or the Sunshine Foundation would be appreciated.
