Carol Jean (Daniel) Demelo

DeMelo - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Monday February 16, 2004. Carol Jean DeMelo (nee Daniel) of Sloane St. Woodstock in her 62nd year. Beloved wife of Mike ‘Manuel' DeMelo. Dear mother of Paul (Kari) and Scott (Melisa) all of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Laurin, Kristen and Dylan. Also survived by her mother Louise Daniel (nee Livingston), sister Rose Jennings (Jerry), brothers Charlie Daniel (Cathy) and Tom Daniel, mother-in-law Maria DeMelo, brothers-in-law Joe DeMelo (Margaret), Noah DeMelo (Mary) and Jim DeMelo (Sharon), sisters-in-law Joyce Daniel, Eva Custodio (Joe), Maria Sampson (Harold) and Hazel DeMelo (Brad) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Clayton Sam Daniel, brothers Clayton and Michael and father-in-law Joe DeMelo. Carol was a registered nurse who graduated in 1965 and worked 33 years at the Woodstock General Hospital before retiring in 1998. Friends may call at the R. D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Avenue Woodstock (539-0004) on Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30 & 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1:30 pm. Interment later in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Prayers will be offered Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the funeral home.
