TAYLOR - At Woodstock General Hospital on Friday, March 21, 2008, John "Carmen" Taylor of Woodstock in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Florence Taylor (nee Blackwood). Loved father of Patricia Hathaway and her husband B.J. of Augusta, Georgia, Glen and his wife Margaret of Port Dover, Charmaine Fletcher and her husband William of London, and John Paul of London. Dear grandfather of Sandra Browne (Eric) of Florida, Jena Botsford (Eric) of Florida, Julie Mavin (Craig) of Whitby, Carrie Schaffner (Paul) of Windsor, Will Fletcher (Annette) of Mull, and Kristy Fletcher of London. Carmen is also survived by his ten great grandchildren, his brother Wayne (Leona) of British Columbia, sister Marilyn Marsh of Nova Scotia, and his sister-in-law Elva Burke (Glynn) of Newfoundland. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Madge Taylor of London, sister Patricia Taylor of London, and brother-in-law Ron Marsh of Nova Scotia. Friends and family will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 from 12:30-1:30 pm where a memorial service will be held in the chapel at 1:30 pm with Rev. Bonnie Pilkey officiating. Contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Canadian Cancer Society, or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
