FORCE - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday, November 12, 2010. Carl Lewis Force of Woodstock in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Leona B. P. (nee Barnes) Force for over 56 years. Dear father of Doug Force (Karen) of Woodstock and Donna Marie Gardiner (Al) of Delhi. Predeceased by his daughter Deborah Ann Bruce (2008) and survived by his son-in-law Gordon Bruce of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Jennifer Arthur (Steven), Angela Valleau (John), Rebecca Bruce (Matt Hird), Shelley Marshall (Bryan), Shawn Force, Arthur Gardiner (Lindsay), Carl Gardiner (Amanda) and great grandfather of Michael, Emily, Curtis, Devyn, Dominic, Alexander, Nathan and Abby. Dear brother of Bob Force (late Dora), Hubert Force (Shirley), Betty Popovitch, Lloyd Force (Sheila), Harry Force, Keith Force (Rosemary) and Patricia Guillemette (Jack). Also survived by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Carl had been an employee of Fisher Controls for over 25 years. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 pm. Interment in the Burgessville Baptist Cemetery. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
