POORTINGA, Calvin John - Passed away peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock on Sunday July 29, 2012 at the age of 48. Beloved son of Andy and Rose (nee Hogeterp) Poortinga. Dear brother of Diane Bender (Greg Miskow) of Paris, Peter Poortinga (Sandra), Larry Poortinga (Charlene) all of Woodstock and brother-in-law to Carolin Poortinga of Tillsonburg. Calvin will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Randy (2005). Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday July 30, 2012 from 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Calvins' life will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 410 Lansdowne Ave., Woodstock on Tuesday at 11:00 am. There will be visitation with the family at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow the service in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery.
