McMurray- After a courageous battle with cancer, James Calvin (Cal) McMurray, peacefully passed away at Woodstock General Hospital on Tuesday October 24, 2006. Beloved husband of Elizabeth McMurray (nee Innes) for 40 years. Dearly loved and cherished father to his daughters Jill McMurray and friend Stephen Roe of Woodstock, Jane McMurray of Devonshire Bermuda and Joanne McMurray-Kohl and her husband Kevin Kohl of Whitehorse Yukon. Survived by his brother-in-law Leo Savard of Woodstock and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Treva McMurray, Mollie Savard, Marion (Bruce) Storey, brother Bill (Kay) McMurray, and parents Mary and D'Lloyd McMurray. Sincere thanks are extended to the staff at Woodstock General Hospital 4th Floor for the care and compassion they so generously gave to Cal. Cremation has taken place and Cal will be making one last trip to his beloved cottage on Pike Bay where he will be watching over the beautiful Lake Huron sunset.
