Brian Meloche- On November 5, 2021, at his home and surrounded by his family, Brian passed away peacefully. Having fought a brave, 6-year battle with cancer, Brian met every challenge and treatment he faced with unshakable positivity and humbling patience.

He leaves behind a heartbroken family: wife of 45 years, Sharon, son Kurtis (partner Anna) and grandchildren Ila and Wyatt, and son Philip (partner Sandra) and two grandchildren, mother-in-law Elaine, and surviving brother, Bill. Brian will also be sorely missed by his many friends and classic car ‘cruising buddies’ (both Land and Sea).

After a professional career of nearly 30 years with Samuel Strapping (formerly Acme Strapping) in Toronto, Brian retired in 2014, cherishing his many lasting and important relationships. Brian spent his later years enjoying travelling with his wife and friends, as an involved and dedicated “Grampa”, and providing maintenance and repair services for his family’s toys, gadgets, cars and homes.

We will celebrate and remember a life well lived on Sunday, November 28, 2021, between 1-4 p.m., at the Royal Canadian Legion in Woodstock at 642 Dundas St., Woodstock. Family, friends and colleagues are welcome to come together to share memories, stories and very likely, a few jokes.

During Brian’s fight against metastatic prostate cancer he received excellent care from many doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Cancer Center for which his family is grateful. Bravely, Brian also participated in innovative drug studies and research that will help further the treatment of Cancer. Donations in Brian’s memory come at a critical time for cancer research – specifically Prostate Cancer – the family welcomes donations to the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation via Hamilton Health Sciences or the Cancer Society of Canada in his memory https://www.linktr.ee/Brianmemorial
