SEYMOUR, Brenda Jean Louise (nee Talbot) of Thamesford, Ontario passed away peacefully at a hospital in Rome, Italy on July 31, 2017 at age 65 after a courageous three and a half year battle with breast cancer. Beloved wife of James and loving mother of Nicole (Corey). Cherished daughter of Fern Talbot (nee Motheral). Dear sister of Wanda Davis and chosen sister of Billy Armour (Ruby). Sister-in-law of Marilyn (Al) Whyley, Gail (Paul) Partridge and Croft (Sue) Seymour. Aunt of LeeAnn (Jerry), Brian (Andrea), Ron, Tim, Stephanie, Andrew (Keri), Allison (John), Sarah (Devin) and Nick. Great aunt of Lauren, Madison, Isabelle, Grace, Cessel, Levi, Florence and Logan. Pre-deceased by father William Talbot, brother Gerald Talbot, brother-in-law Mike Davis and sister-in-law Janice Talbot. Dear cousin, niece, friend, teacher and coach of many. Brenda was proud to teach for 40 years with the Oxford County Board of Education and Thames Valley District School Board (Zorra Highland Park, Norwich Public School, Thamesford Public School, Victoria Memorial Public School) before retiring in 2011. Brenda achieved her dream of visiting Italy and enjoyed her last days savouring Italian food and experiencing the beautiful culture and scenery with her family. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday August 8th, 2017 from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm and again on Wednesday August 9th 2017 from 10:00 - 10:45am. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11am with Rev. Sarah Grady officiating. Interment to follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Curries.
