Bonnie Lou Ella MacQuarrie

February 17, 1957 — December 14, 2024

Bonnie Lou Ella MacQuarrie (nee England), a beacon of courage and unwavering faith, embarked on her celestial journey after a valiant battle with a brain tumor. Born on February 17, 1957, in Galt, Ontario, Bonnie's life was a testament to the power of passion and the strength of the human spirit. She was a cherished daughter to the late Samuel England and Betty Smith, a beloved sister to the late Dennis England, and a source of endless love and inspiration to her brother Stephen England.

Bonnie's legacy is lovingly carried on by her devoted children: Chad Leduc and his wife Lindsay, Tanya Sharpe and her husband Mike, Jennifer Lebold and her partner John Mistrzak of Woodstock, and James Lebold with his partner Heather Morson of Orangeville. Her role as 'Gramma' to Collin Lebold, Sydney & Ryker Leduc, and Benjamin Lebold was not just a title but a badge of honor she wore with pride and joy. Beloved aunt to Samuel, Joel and Rebekah.

Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of family, faith, and creativity. Bonnie's heart was always open, and her hands were never idle. She found immense joy in teaching spiritual guidance at her church, nurturing the seeds of faith in Primary, Nursery, and Young Women's groups. Her passion for family history and genealogy was not just a hobby but a sacred duty to connect the past with the present and future.

Bonnie's love for travel was more than a pursuit of leisure; it was a quest for connection. Her heart belonged to the rolling hills of Ireland and the rugged shores of Nova Scotia, places that resonated with her soul's calling. Crafting was another avenue through which Bonnie expressed her boundless creativity, from the delicate art of crocheting to the intricate details of painting and making miniatures.

Describing Bonnie as courageous, faith-filled, and passionate barely scratches the surface of her indomitable spirit. She faced life's challenges with a grace that inspired all who knew her.

Her journey was one of unwavering faith, not just in the divine but in the goodness of life itself.

She taught us that every moment is a gift and that love is the most potent force we can wield in this world.

Today, we honor Bonnie Lou Ella MacQuarrie, not with a sense of loss but with a profound sense of gratitude. She showed us what it means to live with courage, to walk in faith, and to love without reservation. Bonnie's story does not end here; it is carried forward in the laughter of her grandchildren, the memories of her children, and the countless lives she enriched with her presence. Her journey on this earth may have concluded, but her spirit soars, free and unbound, in the realms of eternity. Bonnie's life was a beautiful reminder that every day is a chancell make a difference, to be passionate about what matters, and to leave a legacy of love that endures forever.
