ROSS - Peacefully, on Sunday January 2nd, 2011 Robert "Bob" H. Ross of Maples Nursing Home, Tavistock and formerly of Hickson in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Doris R. Ross (nee Schott)(1996). Dear father of Murray and his wife Lorraine of Hickson and Donald and his wife Tammy of Owen Sound. Loved grandfather of Joe and his wife Jacquie, Dan, Becky and Kyle and cherished great grandfather of Avery and Ellie. Dear brother of Jean Murray and her husband Howard of Stratford and brother-in-law of Margaret Ross and Peggy Schott of St. Catharines, and Betty Trapp and her husband Bill of Carnavron and Rose Ross of Woodstock. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Florence Henderson, Ella Langfield and brothers Jack, Glen, Don and Wallace Ross. Bob was a longtime member of Hickson United Church, founding member of the Hickson Fire Department, original member of the Tavistock Rod and Gun Club, was a member of the Masonic Lodge #609 Tavistock, as well as the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 518 Tavistock. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
