SWARTZ, Blanche - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday May 28, 2009 at Victoria Hospital, London in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Swartz (1974). Cherished mother of five children; Keith (Ruth), Sandra Knoop (John), Greg (Angele), Brad (Lezlie) and Doug (Arla). Special grandma to ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Leslie and Gertrude Chesney (nee Kalbfleisch) and survived by her step-mother Nancy Chesney. Dearly loved by her brother Gord Chesney (Verna) and her three sisters; Joyce Collings (Garnet), Marion Silverthorn (Harvey), Gail Farrington (Gary). Also survived by sister-in-law Ruth Wallace (Bev) and by her many nieces and nephews. Blanche lived most of her life in Beachville, Ontario. She was actively involved with Beachville United Church and the Beachville Historical Society. Blanche recently resided at Oxford Gardens in Woodstock where she enjoyed daily activities and meeting new people. Blanche also enjoyed bowling and getting together with her craft class friends. The family would like to thank everyone involved in the excellent care mom has recently received including the staff at Oxford Gardens, Third floor doctors and nurses at Alexandra Hospital in Ingersoll and the special doctors and nurses who went above and beyond at Victoria Hospital CCTC in London. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday June 1, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 pm with Rev.
