Bill Wright

WRIGHT - Peacefully at his residence on Friday, July 17, 2009, William "Bill" Wright of R.R.#4, Woodstock, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Dorothy Wright (nee Ostertag) for over 66 years. Dear father of Brian Wright (Cindy) and Judy Mattson (Dave) all of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of Shawn Wright (Cheri), Jason Wright, Kayla Wright, Andrew Mattson, and Brooke Mattson and great grandfather of Joshua, Eden, Will, Ali, Cole, Kaitlyn, and Ian. Predeceased by his son Wayne Wright (1960) and his sister Eva Desjardins. Bill was a longtime member of Craigowan Golf and Country Club and was an elder at Knox Presbyterian Church for many years. Bill was also well known for his many years in the retail sector working for Bartley's Shoes, Reg Hall Ltd., and Hersee's Menswear. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark McLennan officiating. Interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Contributions to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, Alzheimer Society, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
