DAY, Charles William "Bill" Miles - At his residence on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Bill Day of Bonnie Brae Nursing Home, Tavistock and formerly of Woodstock in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Gretta (1981) and survived by his loving wife Marie Doris (nee Wardle) Day for over 27 years. Dear father of Viola Tucker (Ed) of Charleton, Diane Stinson (Jim) of Woodstock, Allan (Cathy) of Ingersoll, April Day, Dorothy Rodwell (Rob), Norma Butler (Ruth), Susan McIntyre (Mike Timbers), Gord, Terry all of Woodstock and Don (Jeanette) of Ingersoll and step father to Stephen Lorch (Candy) of Guelph, Michael Lorch (Shani) of Beachville and Eric Lorch (Lynn) of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Dave (Connie) of London. Bill was an employee of Standard Tube, Woodstock and a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 55, Woodstock, OCNVA "Navy Club" and the Federation of Angers and Hunters. Friends will be received at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 2:30 pm with Major Owen Budden officiating.
