Betty Marguerite Williacy

February 13, 1925 — March 5, 2021

Williacy, Betty Marguerite – Passed away on Friday, March 5th, 2021 in her 97th year, peacefully surrounded in spirit by the love of her entire family, the gentle hands of her nieces and the very capable care of the amazing staff at VON Sakura House.  Predeceased by her parents Mary (Barnard) and William Williacy, her siblings Francis Williacy, Vi Guy, Cliff (Rita) Williacy, Fred (Doris) Williacy, Jack (Laura) Williacy, Ruth (Harley) McCurdy, Marg (Doug) Hart, Bill (Edna) Williacy, Douglas Williacy, and many precious nieces and nephews; especially her beloved niece Beverly, who having lost her mother as an infant was lovingly raised by her Aunt Betty and Granny Mary, until Mary’s death.  Then as Beverly’s only Mother figure, Betty guided and nurtured her to adulthood.  Betty had a zest for life and love of adventure, keen sense of humor and a fierce dedication to her family especially the devoted care of her brother and fishing partner Ted Williacy.  These beautiful qualities were greatly admired by and an inspiration to her numerous loving nieces and nephews, who now mourn the loss of the families brightest light and guiding star.  Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Saturday, March 13th, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  (Visitors are required to RSVP for the visitation on the funeral home website, spaces are limited). If desired, memorial contributions may be made to VON Sakura House.  Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed at www.brockandvisser.com
