DUSTOW, Betty Lu – Passed away peacefully at the Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll on Monday, May 24th, 2021 in her 66th year. Beloved wife of Steve Dustow and loving mother of Steven Dustow, Trish (Adam) Dustow-Gignac and Mark (Britt) Dustow. Cherished grandmother of Emma Dustow and Jakob Dustow. Much loved sister of Trish Hindman and dear aunt to Jennifer (Pete) Strub, Christopher (Carrie) Strub, Patrick (Sarah) Nickle, Shane (Grace) Ferris, and Cheyenne Ferris. Great aunt to Emily and Adele. Sister-in-law to Susan and Steve Ferris. Lu will be sadly missed by her Aunt Eva as well as many cousins, family, friends and loved ones. Predeceased by her mother Betty Hindman and her beloved sister, Karen Smith. Lu had written the following thank you note. “I want to thank my PSW’s for their care for so long Mary, Eva and Sherry. I want to thank my St. Elizabeth nurses for your care. Stormi, who for almost a year took care of me through some tough spots. I wish you much happiness. To Dawn, my primary nurse, thank you for becoming my nurse and for allowing me to feel well cared for. For your special way of lifting my spirts with your cheerfulness. You are truly a remarkable nurse. I thank God, as you became my nurse sent from heaven. To Anika, my first nurse, you are special to me. To Sarah and Theresa, thanks and God bless. To my physiotherapist Jenny, you saved my life. God in heaven brought you to me. You will always be very special to me forever, my angel”. Many thanks to Dr. Eric Thomas, Dr. Curtis Irvine, and Dr. Sondhi for their wonderful care. Lu was a member of LDS Woodstock and the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. A private family service will be held at a later date.
