Bessie (Johns) Bencsik

BENCSIK, Bessie Olive - Peacefully on Thursday January 15, 2009, surrounded by her family at Caressant Care Retirement Home, Woodstock in her 86th year. Survived by her daughters Barb Clendenning and her husband Jim of Tillsonburg, Janet Amacher and her husband Dennis of Kitchener and by her son Andrew Bencsik and his wife Nancy of Woodstock. Proud and loving grandmother of Lisa, Marc, Alison, Steven, step-grandmother of Patricia, Matthew and step-great grandmother of Evelyn. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Marjorie Johns of Exeter. Bessie was predeceased by her parents Richard and Pearl Johns, brother Phillip Johns all of Exeter and Vince Bencsik. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday January 19, 2009 after 1:30 pm where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 2:30 pm with Rev. David Duncan officiating. Interment later in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the College Ave United Church would be appreciated.
