GABRIS - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday September 3, 2009. Bernard "Ben" Gabris of Woodstock in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Donna C. E. (nee Thompson) Gabris for over 23 years. Dear father of Kevin Gabris of Woodstock and step father of Sue Taylor, Jim Smith (Brenda York), Ken Smith all of Woodstock, Kevin Smith (Rosie) of Timmins and father-in-law of Dawn Gabris of Oshawa. Loved grandfather of many grandchildren, several great grandchildren and survived by extended family members, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his sons Scott, Kim and Rick, step son Bob Smith and by his grandson Brendon. Ben had been an employee of Standard Tube for over 32 years, was a member of the CAW Local 636, the Royal Canadian Legion Br #55, Woodstock and the Crossing Guard Association. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Sunday September 6, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1:30 pm with Rev.
