Beatrice Florence "Bea" (Longworth) Snell

February 8, 1906 — May 6, 2007

Beatrice "Bea" Snell (1906- 2007) It is with profound sadness that the family of Beatrice Florence Snell (nee Longworth) announces her peaceful passing on May 5th 2007. Bea lived each of her 101 years with tremendous energy and passion, participating in each day of her life to the fullest extent possible. During this amazing life, Bea touched so many with her support and encouragement that it is impossible to count those she loved and who loved her in return. Predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Brock (1994) and daughter-in-law Irene (1989), brothers Albert and Claude Longworth and sister Flossie Cox Bartindale, Bea is survived by her favourite and only child, Ross of Turkey Point and his special friend Therisia Pearson of Woodstock. Bea will be remembered, always, by her granddaughters Jeannie Snell of Toronto and Ruthe Anne Conyngham (John) of London, great granddaughter Ashley Conyngham and great-great granddaughter Taylor. Because of Bea's exceptional life, she enjoyed the pleasure of participating in the lives of multiple generations of nieces and nephews with each and every one having a special place in her heart. Bea loved children, flowers, beautiful sunny days and a very special relationship with her Lord. The family would especially like to acknowledge and thank Susan, Gord, Christina and Jacob for their unfailing commitment to Auntie Bea. You were loved deeply. The family would also like to acknowledge the caring staff at Caressant Care Nursing Home for their compassion and support. The special friendship of Jill Hollands was very important to Bea. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for visitation at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, Monday, May 7th 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services and a celebration of Bea's life will be held Tuesday, May 8th at 11:00 am from Longworth Funeral Home conducted by friend and former Pastor of Huron Park Baptist Church, Robert MacGregor. Interment in Burgessville Baptist Church Cemetery will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting consideration of a contribution supporting the placement of Gideon Bibles or a donation to the Latin America Missionary Services - 14 - 3075 Ridgeway Dr., Mississauga, ON L5L 5M6 directed toward the missionary work of Dave and Marilyn Longworth.
