de Bruin, Bastiaan - Gone to be with his Lord at the Woodstock Hospital on Thursday November 29, 2012. Bastiaan "Bas" de Bruin of Woodstock in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Hendrika "Hennie" de Bruin for over 57 years. Dear father of Margaret Katsirdakis and her husband Emmanuel of Waterloo, Joanne Lukashal and her husband Michael of Carrying Place, Patricia Flameling and her husband Lawrence of Aberfoyle, Christine DeBoer and her husband Peter of Salford and Elizabeth de Bruin of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and is also survived by his many extended family members in Canada and Holland. Bas and his wife were long time members of Hi-Way Pentecostal Church for many years. He will be missed for his gardening, his ability to tinker on things around the house but especially for his fishing. He loved to share his love for fishing with his family and friends and anyone that would join him on the boat. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Hi-Way Pentecostal Church, 584118 Beachville Rd, on Tuesday December 4, 2012 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 pm with Pastor Phillip Carroll officiating. Interment later in the Anglican Cemetery.
