It is with sadness that the family announces her passing at Woodingford Lodge- Tillsonburg on Sunday, February 26th, 2023, after a long struggle with cancer. Audrey Douma (nee VanderMeulen) formerly of Woodstock in her 97th year. She was predeceased by her husband Bert (2003), infant son John (1952), and son-in-law Case de Wit (2001). Audrey is survived by her children Trudy de Wit, Don (Rosemary) Douma, Micki (Brian) Angyal, Maurice (Mary) Douma, Arlene (Gary) Van Meer, and Annette (Rod) Rutherford as well as 17 grandchildren and 37 Great grandchildren. She also leaves behind 3 sisters and many relatives in Friesland, Holland. Friends and loved ones are invited to join the family for visitation at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church (735 Frontenac Crescent, Woodstock, ON N4V 0B1) on Friday March 3rd, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary. Interment later at Innerkip Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Teen Challenge or a Charity of One’s Choice and may be arranged through the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock (519-539-0004).
