KUIKEN - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday October 4, 2008. Ate Kuiken of Woodstock in his 79th year went to be with the Lord. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Oostinga) Kuiken for over 54 years. Dear father of Charles Kuiken and his wife Patricia of Whitby, Barton Kuiken and his wife Debbie of Oakwood, Pamela Gray and her husband Andrew of Innerkip and Debbie Kuiken of Woodstock. Loved Pake of Amanda Bakker (Reuben), Kristy Kuiken, Kayla Kuiken (Kyle Musslman), Mark Kuiken (Julie McQuat), Matt Kuiken, Blair Duhamel (Melissa), Evan Duhamel (Rebecca), Bart Duhamel, Mitchell Gray and great Pake of Natalie Duhamel. Dear brother of Jacob Kuiken of Guelph and brother-in-law of Marta Kuiken, Sjoukje Tjepkema, Johannes Oostinga all of Holland and Gerda Oostinga of Oshawa. Predeceased by his, parents Klaas and Dirkje (nee Boonstra) Kuiken, brothers Ysbrand and Dirk Kuiken, sister Hendrika Wierstra and infant grandson Matthew Kuiken. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Tuesday October 7, 2008 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 577 Norwich Ave., Woodstock on Wednesday at 1:30 pm where Ate was a member. Rev. Dirk Miedema officiating.
