PAQUETTE - With both joy and sorrow, the family of Arthur Charles Paquette announces his passing on August 4, 2006. Art, or RT as he was better known, was born in Rosetown Sask. On June 23, 1926 to Arsen (Sammy) Paquette and Irene Fournier. After coming east, RT met and married Margaret (Maggie) Weiler with whom he shared his life. He was the dear father of Bill (Jane) of Woodstock, Bob and Peter (Michelle) of London. Father of John of the United States. He was the loved grandpa to Jason (Jennifer) of Woodstock, Marcy (Jim), Ryan, Leah, Paul, Kelsey and Cori of London, and Daniel (Katharine) of Toronto. He was also the special great grandpa to Kait, Emily, Jacob, Jasper, Satchel, Draydon, Tristan and Jayden. RT adopted Maggie's family as his own and leaves behind cherished sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Monica and Jim Steele of Barrie, Sandy and Doreen Weiler of Norwich, Gail Weiler of London, Nancy and Glenn Chadwell of Ottawa, Linda Newman and Richard Greig of Burlington, Veronica and June Markle and Raymond Weiler of Woodstock. He was also the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceasing Art were Mary and Harold Anderson, Jackie Weiler, Bob Weiler and nephew Danny Markle. A memorial service will be held Thursday August 10, 2006 at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 at 4:00 pm conducted by Bishop Tony Daniels. The family invites you to join them at the funeral home between 2 and 4 pm on Thursday to share stories about RT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the Canadian Hearing Society or the London Health Sciences Foundation for the London Regional Cancer Centre.
