Arnold Gabriel Vandeven

VANDEVEN, Arnold- With loving sadness we say goodbye to our 87 year old husband, father and grandfather, Arnold Vandeven, and with gratitude we remember his long and wonderful life. Arnold was born in Gemert, Holland and lived most of his life in Mossley, Ontario. Loving husband of Ann (nee Van Moorsel) for almost 62 years, cherished father of Paul, Alice, Laurie Gall (Johan) and Brian (Lynn Ricketts). Loved by his grandchildren, Adam (Sheena) and Cara Vandeven, Robyn Strik (David Phillips), and Rachel and Grace Gall. Survived by his sister, Pieta and brother, Frans, in Holland, and brother, Morris and sister-in-law, Jane, of London, Ontario. Predeceased by his parents, Antonius and Gertruda (nee Veryken) Vandeven, brothers John, Martin, Jo and Wim and his wife, Riek Vandeven. He will be fondly remembered by the Van Moorsel family here and in Holland, all his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends in Canada and in Holland. Visitors will be received at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street, Thamesford, Ontario, (www.longworthfuneralhome.com) (519-285-2427), on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at Mary Immaculate Parish, 1980 Trafalgar St, London Ontario on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to the VON of London or Autism Society would be appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Pam Smith for her many years of excellent care. Thanks also to the doctors and nurses in the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital.
