MACKAY, Arlene - Peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence on Thursday January 29, 2015. Arlene May (nee Boyse) MacKay of Maples Home for Seniors, Tavistock and formerly of Embro in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Maxwell "Max" L. MacKay (2008). Dear mother to Gord and his wife Jo of Embro, Brenda McRae and her husband Doug of Port Dover, Carol Killing and her husband Doug of Embro, Sandra Buchner and her husband Chris of Brownsville, Janet McIntosh and her husband Alex of Embro, Steven and his wife Teresa of Embro and mother-in-law of Anne (Phil) MacKay-Gagnon. Loved grandmother of twenty grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and is survived by her sister-in-law Mary MacKay and her brother-in-law Dwight MacKay. Predeceased by her son Ron MacKay (1991), Great Granddaughter Lilah Whittington (2012) and by her sisters Audrey Pullen and Iris Abbey. Arlene shared with her late husband an active participation in many farming, community and church functions and organizations. Friends are invited to join the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock 519-539-0004 on Sunday February 8, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Knox United Church, Embro on Monday February 9, 2015 at 11:00 am with Rev. Andrea Allen officiating. Interment later in the North Embro Cemetery.
