Archibald Christian Brenneman

July 24, 1925 — May 17, 2009

BRENNEMAN - Archibald Christian, 600 Chieftain St., Woodstock, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the Woodstock General Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born 84 years ago in East Zorra Township, son of the late Solomon and Lydia Brenneman. Archie is survived by his loving wife, the former Merle Malcolm with whom he recently celebrated their 60th anniversary on February 5, 2009. Loving father of 6 children, Don (Hughena), Hugh (Sandra), Jim (Patricia), Patric, Nancy (Tim) Rock, Val (Doug) Todd, 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Brother Earl (Helen) Brenneman, sisters-in-law Anna (Archie) Longworth and Marion Carter. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy (Clayton) Wagler, brother Jerry, brothers-in-law Russell (Luella) Malcolm, Fred Buchanan and Vernon Carter. Special friend to Doug and Diane Wiffen and family. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock,(519-539-0004) on Wednesday May 20, 2009 from 2:30- 4:30 pm and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 2 pm with Pastor Betty Jean Page officiating. Interment in the Evangelical United Brethren Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy to the Hickson United Church or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
