BURGERS, Anthony "Tony"- Gone to be with his Lord, at the VON Sakura House on Friday August 12, 2016 in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Johanna "Anna" Elizabeth Burgers (nee Wesselink) and the late Willelmina Burgers (nee Brink). Loving father of Janet (Dan) Husted, Corry (Oeds) DeJager, Albert (Nancy) Burgers. Cherished grandfather of Jason, Chad, Jenny, Angela, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Carolyn, Albert Jr., Gary and great-grandfather of 17. Survived by his step-children, Alex (Anne) VanRooyen, Joanne (Shawn) Shea, Fred (Pat) VanRooyen, Will (Trish) VanRooyen, Tony (Yoke) VanRooyen, John (Mary Paula) VanRooyen; grandchildren Angela, Eric, Justin, Patrice, Tara Lynn, Billy Joe, Rebekah, Charlotte and Justin and by eight great grandchildren. Dear brother of Gerit and Dirk in Holland. Predeceased by his son Henry Burgers, parents Anthony and Jannetje Burgers, his six sisters and three brothers. Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 735 Frontenac Crescent, Woodstock on Tuesday August 16th 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, on Wednesday August 17th 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment at the Burgessville Baptist Cemetery.
