CORNELL - It is with great sadness that the Cornell family announces the passing at Caressant Care Nursing Home, on Monday March 17, 2003 of Amy A. Cornell (nee Junek) formerly of Givens St., Woodstock in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Jeremiah "Jerry" Cornell (1981). Dear mother of Jerry and his wife Joan of Woodstock and Charles and his wife Joni of Maple Ridge B.C. Loved grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Predeceased her parents Henry and Levinnia Junek, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Amy was born in Esterhazy Saskatchewan in 1916 and came to Ontario when she was a young girl. She was a seamstress for most of her life and was a charter member of the Women of the Moose #1012 for over 50 years and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55, Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Wednesday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Thursday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Robert Duthie officiating. Interment in the Oxford Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
