WILLSIE - At Woodstock General Hospital on Friday March 25, 2005. Almon "Al" E. Willsie of Woodstock in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Joan A. Willsie (nee Crawford). Dear father of Janet McMullen and her husband Marty of Orillia, John and his wife Shelly Moyer of Orono, David and his partner Aileen Brunet of Dunedin, New Zealand, Donald of Hamilton and Andy and his wife Sian of Millgrove. Loved grandfather of Emily, Andrew, Cavan, Graham, Lukas, Gwen and Jane. Dear brother of Bereniece Collie of Princeton, Dorothy McLelland of Ingersoll, Ferne Racknor and her husband Don of Woodstock, Reah Webb and her husband Ted of Sault Ste. Marie, Rose Green and her partner Norm of Strathroy, Edna Williamson and her husband Dyce of Princeton, and brother-in-law Bill Crawford of Lindsay. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Ross and Elvin and his wife Helen, and brothers-in-law Stuart Collie and George McLelland. Al touched many lives during his teaching career starting in a one-room school at Uniondale in 1947, retiring from Eastdale School in 1985 with 8 years of this interval spent as service manager at Wing Motors. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church for 50 years, active on the Board of Managers and Session, a member of Oxford Men of the Trees and I.O.O.F. (Princeton). He loved trees and his garden. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday 2:30- 4:30 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Knox Presbyterian Church, 59 Riddell St., Woodstock on Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. John vanVliet officiating.
