Allen Orville Bond

BOND, ALLEN - Born in Paris, Ontario on May 31, 1934, passed away at his residence on Tuesday October 18, 2011. Allen Orville Bond of Maples Nursing Home, Tavistock and formerly of RR# 1, Beachville in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Cleo Pearl (nee Longfield) Bond for 52 years. Dear brother of Evelyn (Gordon) Rath Marie (Gord) Elson, Vera (Larry) Litt, brother-in-law to Don (Vicki) Longfield and survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Allen will be sadly missed by his furry friends; Kobe and Rocket. Predeceased by his parents Orville and Grace Bond. Allen was Past President of the Woodstock Agricultural Society, Past President of the Soil and Crop Oxford County, served for South-West Township Council for 13 years with3 years on County Council, was a former Charter member of the Sweaburg Lions Club and a Past Master and member of King Solomon's Masonic Lodge # 43, A.F. & A.M. Woodstock. Friends will be received by the family at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Thursday October 20, 2011 from 7-9 pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jane Van Patter officiating. Cremation has taken place, Interment in the Dorchester Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society Oxford County or the Woodstock General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
