Allan Richard Dennis

DENNIS, Allan Richard - Surrounded by family, Allan Richard Dennis passed away at the Woodstock Hospital in his 72nd year on February 12, 2022. Loving husband to wife Nancy (Donker) of 45 years.  Devoted father to Scott (Jill), Jonathan (Liz), and Emily. Adoring Papa/Opa to Sylvia, Fletcher, Waylon, Anna, and Claire. Allan was born in Oxford County where he made his home near Embro with Nancy. He retired from Standard Tube with 38 years of service and continued to farm after.  He was a long-time member of Emmanual Reformed Church in Woodstock and could be found leading worship services at local nursing homes.  He often spent his time completing home renovations and growing a vegetable garden in the summer.  Those who knew him, will remember his kind and gentle soul. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, brother Ken (Wera), sister Barb (Curt) Strabac, predeceased by brother Bud. Brother-in-laws Heimen (Beth), Andy (Wilma) and Ted (Cora).  Special Grandpa to Angel and Nicole.  Friend and family are invited to gather for a time of visitation at Emmanuel Reformed Church from 7-9 pm on Thursday February 17th, and again from 1-2pm on Saturday February 19th. A funeral service will follow in the Emmanuel Sanctuary at 2pm. Burial at North Embro Cemetery will take place in the spring.
