ALICE RADFORD, June 8, 2005, at home in Woodstock, in her 80th year. Beloved wife of Paul, mother of Brenda and her husband Rob of Startford, and Bruce and his wife Rosemary of Cambridge, sister of Bill Heaslip and his wife Nona of Toronto, and Betty DrewBrook and her husband Bob of Qualicum B.C., grandmother of Victoria Radford and Devin Radford of Toronto, Deb Thorne and her husband Paul of Oakville, Chad Eveson of Mississauga, Byron Eveson of Calgary, and Spencer and Vanessa Million of London. She led a varied and active life and was a positive force:- IN founding a weekly newspaper; AS a past chair of the North Western Ontario Regional Library; IN establishing a community swimming program; AS a family counsellor at Oxford Regional Centre; Working at Lansdowne Children's Centre; AS a founding member of the Assembly of the Baha'is of Woodstock and a contributor to the Baha'is of Sarasota; IN starting Radford Silks in partnership with her daughter, Brenda Radford; IN starting Colours of Woodstock with partner Marnie Tatham, including the manufacture of fashion wallets and accessories for distribution worldwide; and as an out of country volunteer with C.E.S.O. Freinds will be received at R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Friday, June 10, 2:30-4:30pm and 7:00-9:00pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 1:30pm. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
