WATT - Surrounded by his loving family at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday November 4, 2007. Alexander "Alex" James Watt of Woodstock in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Audrey Ethel Watt (nee Dunnadge) for 58 years. Dear father of Cathryn Beggs and her husband Bill of London, Susan MacGregor and her husband Sterling of Paris and Alexis Atkinson and her husband Gary of Woodstock. Loved Poppa of Lauren, Emily, Melanie (Steve), Christine (Shawn), Jason (Kerri), Darryl (Angie) and Jenni and great Poppa of nine great grandchildren. Dear brother of Patricia Gore and her husband Ray of Lions Head; brother-in-law of Nan Watt of Orangeville and Bernice Morton of Chatham. Alex is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his brother Gord Watt. Alex was a longtime active member of Church of the Epiphany (New St. Paul's Anglican Church), served during WWII with the R.C.A.F., a member of the R.C. L. Br. # 55, Woodstock, enjoyed discing with his friends at area churches and was an avid fisherman. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004, on Tuesday November 6, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Interment in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens following cremation. Contributions to the Church of the Epiphany or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
