Peacefully at Secord Trails, Ingersoll on Saturday April 8th, 2023 Alexander Malcolm McKenzie formerly of Embro, Ont. in his 69th year.
Predeceased by his father Mack 1986 and his brother Ron 2017.
Survived by his mother Marie (nee Clement) McKenzie Wood (Alberta) and two half sisters Joanne Wood (B.C.) and Pat Dickson (Alberta)
Alex, nicknamed “Tiger” by his highschool wrestling coach because of his tiger-like determination, was an avid sports fan, who cheered for the Boston Bruins and the New York Yankees his whole life.
For many earlier years, Tiger followed the local Embro ball teams as their one of a kind statistician and score keeper. Alex knew the rules of the game inside out, but sadly never played.
Alex lived in Embro his whole life and worked diligently at the Embro Cheese House for over 30 years. When Alex became ill, he moved to Secord Trails, Ingersoll.
Cremation has taken place with interment at North Embro Cemetery at a future date.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a donation to Embro Minor Ball in Tiger’s memory.
