GRAHAM Surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness, on the 10th of April 2009, at Stratford General Hospital, The Honourable Mr. Justice Alexander Murl Graham passed away in his 70th year. Loved son of Erma Graham (Hill) and the late Murl Graham, wife Sandra (Fulkerson) and daughters Elizabeth (Randy) Brant of Guelph, Jane (Jim) Brady of Ingersoll and Katherine (Creston) Froats of Vancouver. Proud "Pop" of Meghan and Jacey and "Papa" of Cohen. Missed by his sister Shirley (Keith) Barber, brother Wayne (Donna Jean) and nieces and nephews. Alex practiced law in Woodstock from 1966 until 1985 when he was appointed a Judge of the Provincial Court, sitting in Woodstock. He served as President of the Ontario Judges Association in 1997 and 1998. He was appointed Regional Senior Justice of the West Region on the 3rd of September 2001, based in London. On the 31st of August 2007, Alex became a per diem Justice. He was Past Master of Thistle Masonic Lodge Embro #250 a member of the Woodstock Lodge of Perfection and Moore Sovereign Consistory and an Honourary Inspector General of the Supreme Council of the 33rd degree. Alex was known for his intellect, his fairness, and his love for his family. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (519-539-0004) Tuesday 7-9 pm and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Knox United Church, Embro on Thursday at 2:00 pm. A family Interment will take place at a later date in the Old Log Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the VON Hospice (Sakura House) , or a charity of your choice.
