WHYLEY- Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday August 20th , 2005. Albert (Bert) S.J. Whyley of King St. Woodstock in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Margaret L Whyley (nee Stewart). Dear father of Albert L. Whyley and his wife Marilyn of Woodstock, Grant Whyley of Toronto, and by a granddaughter Stephanie. Dear step-father of Jim Elliott and Bob Elliott both of Woodstock, Ardith Sneath of Brantford, Penny McColeman of Mississauga, Laurel Wilson of Hanover and their families. Bert served overseas during WW II with the R.C.A.F., was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch# 55 Woodstock, Oxford County Naval Veterans Association and Oxford Masonic Lodge # 76 AF & AM Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave. Woodstock (539-0004) Tuesday 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held in the chapel Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Bruce Genge officiating. Interment later Anglican Cemetery. Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
