Albert (Bert) Mells

MELLS- At Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday December 6th, 2003. Albert "Bert" Mells of Dundas St., Woodstock in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy Mells (nee Archer). Bert will be missed by his son Jim and his sister-in-law Jessie Hammond both of Woodstock. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother William and sister Doris Hammond. Bert was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch#55 Woodstock, and the Oxford County Naval Veterans Association. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday from 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm where the complete funeral service will be held from the chapel on Wednesday at 1:30 pm with Rev. Kirby Constable officiating. Contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. A Legion Service under auspices Royal Canadian Legion Branch #55 Woodstock will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 6:30 pm.
