Albert L. Brooks

BROOKS- Peacefully at his residence on Thursday January 8th, 2004, Albert L. Brooks of Beale St., Woodstock in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Jean I. Brooks (nee Campbell). Dear father of Joey Brooks and his wife Denise of Regina, Saskatchewan and Shirley Ann Parsons and her husband Gary of London. Loved grandfather of Richard, Ronald, Virginia, Bonnie, Heather, and Jessie and great grandfather of 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by his aunt Jessie Lee and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Norman and Roy Brooks and son Duncan . Albert served in WW II with the Elgin Regiment Tank Division, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 55, Woodstock. He served with the Woodstock Police Detachment, transferring to the O.P.P. where he served for 20 years before retiring. Interment in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London. Contributions to the Legion Poppy Fund, Red Cross Society or the V.O.N. (Queen Elizabeth) would be appreciated and may be arranged through the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, Woodstock (539-0004).
