Alan "Allen" Douglas Greenfield

GREENFIELD, Allen - At the Woodstock Hospital on Friday February 15, 2013. Alan "Allen" D. Greenfield of Woodstock and formerly of Embro in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Stella (nee Hanchiruk) Greenfield for over 57 years. Dear brother of Irwin Greenfield of Embro, Helen Aherns of Wyoming, ON and brother-in-law to Olga Tottle, Rosie Thomson (Russell) of Woodstock and Kay Greenfield of Burgessville. Allen is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother George Greenfield and his sister Florence Hanchiruk. Allen was a dairy farmer in the Embro area his entire life. One of his favourite hobbies was hunting. He had been a life time member of the Oxford Hunt Club. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Monday February 18, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 pm. Cremation has taken place. Interment later in the North Embro Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Knox United Church Embro, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
