Akke (Bergsma) Folkema

FOLKEMA - At the Woodstock General Hospital on Wednesday June 30, 2004. Akke Folkema (nee Bergsma) of Woodstock in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Marten Folkema (1991). Dear mother of Gary Folkema and his wife Rhea of Ingersoll, Luke Folkema and his wife Marg of Beachville, Ruby Hartsell and her husband Elgin and Susy Hettinga and her husband Ron all of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of twenty five grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Dear sister of Anders Bergsma and Hiltje Rozema both of Holland. Predeceased by her daughters Karen Mulder (1983) and Jane Rusticus (1987). Akke had been a longtime member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church, Woodstock. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 539-0004, Friday 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St., Woodstock, on Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. Case Koolhaas officiating.
