Agnes Alice Lenora (Wolfe) Jaques

JAQUES, Agnes Alice Leonore (nee Wolfe). In sadness, but with gratitude for her full and vibrant life, the family of Alice Jaques announces her death in Woodstock on Sunday, October 17, 2010, aged 101 years. She was predeceased by her husband Stewart and granddaughters Allyson and Andrea and is survived by sons Henry (Margaret) of Ottawa, Rob (Sue) of Powassan, and Gordon (Barbara) of Burk's Falls; grandchildren Sarah Nicole, Peter, Chad, Laurie, Jim, Will, Hal, and Bonnie; and great-grandchildren Latasha, Justin, Joshua, Sophie, Malcolm, Hannah and Angus. Throughout life, Alice devoted herself to family, friends, church and students (in many schools in Ontario and Scotland), reaching out to those in need and helping them make the most of their lives. Her dedication to others made all of our lives richer. Family will receive friends at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, Ont. from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010 and for an hour before the service on Saturday. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Longworth Funeral Home on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
