Agnes Victoria (Allison) Huras

HURAS, Agnes Victoria (nee Allison) passed away peacefully at her home at Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock, on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in her 97th year, . She was predeceased by her husband Elmer, her parents William and Gertrude, sister Jane and brother Lloyd . She will be dearly missed by her family, sons Allan (Diane) and Paul (Victoria), grandchildren Craig, Morgan, Maddison and Mayson and great grandchildren Braedan, Shandra, Isobela and Cashlyn. She is also survived by her sister Isobelle. Agnes was born in Listowel in 1918 and lived most of her life in London. During the Second World War she served as a wireless operator at Malton Airport where she met her husband Elmer. She worked in the office at the London Transportation Commission until her retirement in 1983. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life for family and friends will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004) on Saturday Aprill 11th 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, London. For those who wish, expressions of sympathy may be made by donating to the Alzheimer's Society or Woodingford Lodge in Woodstock.
