YKEMA - Surrounded by her loving family at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday December 27, 2009. Aaltje "Alice" Ykema (nee Klynstra) of Woodstock in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Thee "Ted" Ykema (2000). Dear mother of John and his wife Lena of Woodstock, Gary and his wife Wilma of RR# 4, Woodstock, Gloria Rodenburg and her husband Adrian of RR# 4, Thamesford and Grace Durst and her husband Joe of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of ten grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Dear sister of Martinus DeBoer of Holland. Predeceased by her son Geeuwke, sister Tryntje and brothers Jan Klynstra, Haye Klynstra and Richard DeBoer in the Netherlands. Alice was a longtime member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church where she was the oldest surviving member. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Friday January 1, 2010 from 2:30 - 4:30 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 170 Clarke St., Woodstock on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Abram Blaak officiating. Interment later in the Hillview Cemetery.
